Rev. Stephanie Tunison is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master of Arts degree in Community Counseling from the University of Cincinnati.  Ordained in the United Methodist tradition with course work from United Theological Seminary, her secondary appointment is at Hyde Park Community United Methodist Church.

With over 20 years of ministry in organizations and counseling I have learned we all get stuck at some point in time and need a ‘boost over the fence.’  I believe we are all precious and sacred in God’s eyes.  It is a sacred trust to enter into counseling.  It is a place where we need to feel safe and valued.  That is the place where I walk and am blessed to walk with you, whether it is a short distance or for a longer journey.

As a Christian, I am sensitive to where you are on your faith journey and will gladly integrate faith where you are comfortable.

Stephanie is realistic knowing that “life happens.” Depression, life transitions, divorce, death and job losses all have tremendous impacts on our day-to-day lives. Past abuse or neglect, shame, guilt and insecurities of life can continue to affect our current relationships. We may become overwhelmed from having a miscarriage, abortion, illness, chronic pain, military service, isolation, empty-nest, aging, or downsizing.

Stephanie has an eclectic approach to therapy, incorporating not only Cognitive Behavioral and Rational Emotive Theory, but also a client-centered, empathic, Rogerian style. She works with individuals, couples, families and teens.

With experience as an Executive Coach and Consultant, Stephanie also offers services for your business or church.  She will assist you or your team in strategic planning, conflict management, HR issues, team building and Emotional Intelligence.
