David offers a safe and comfortable space for you to explore yourself, life’s circumstances, and the goals you want to achieve. David is a warm caring person who values compassion and acceptance. These qualities are fundamental to his therapeutic approach and provide a foundation for healing and the development of a greater sense of well-being. Through the process of counseling, David will work with you to deepen your awareness and understanding of yourself and will help you explore new ways of thinking about and responding to the world.

David believes in a holistic approach to counseling, recognizing the interdependence of an individual’s mind, body, spirit, relationships, and the environment they live in. David enjoys working with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages. He has experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. David enjoys working with people from all spiritual backgrounds and those uncertain about, curious to explore, or wanting to heal from spiritual and existential issues.

David enjoys incorporating contemplative exercises and philosophy into counseling. He extensive meditative and philosophical training while living in a Buddhist monastery in New York State for 7 years. After leaving the monastery, David began his graduate studies at the Spirituality Mind Body Institute at Columbia University in New York. David later completed a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Xavier University.
