Clark Echols, MDiv, MA, is a licensed professional clinical counselor who graduated from Xavier University’s graduate program in Community Counseling in 2010.
He retired from a 32 year career as an ordained pastor in the New Church, a denomination promoting a new Christianity based on the philosophy of Emanuel Swedenborg, which impacts Clark’s work by encouraging a heart and mind open to the goodness of the human soul, the possibility of healing of mental disease, and an acceptance of every faith tradition.
Clark is ready to work with individuals and couples using mindfulness, a variety of cognitive therapies, and spiritual development based on his professional training and life experience. Clark is working towards certification in Emotionally Focused Therapy, which gives couples in distress a path to reconnection and a deeper bonding than they have ever experienced.
He is well acquainted with grief, anger, anxiety and depression. He especially wants to be of service to men with anger, addiction and PTSD issues.
